Round 1 of the Chemical Tests
Mix of household chemicals and different substances. The plan is ambiguous, intuitive and highly unscientific: to leave the film submerged indefinitely in these substances and to check in on the process of decay from time to time. I’m now working together with Alejandra Moffat on these chemical tests.
1. lemon
2. salt and boiled water
3. vinager
4. water and sodium bicorbonate
5. Alcohol
6. iron bolt and water (to obtain rust)
7. Virginia (orange scented furniture oil)
8. “Color friendly” bleach and spot remover (mix of chemicals)
