Experimental short in two parts, 9 minutes. La cena (The Dinner) and La cacería (The Hunt); adapted from Roberto Bolaño’s novel and also presented as a two-channel video installation.
Co-Written and Co-Directed by Niles Atallah, Joaquín Cociña and Cristóbal León. Cinematography, Editing, Art Direction, Animation, Sound Design, Image Post-Production and Colorist credits shared by all three. Production: Diluvio.

2018 59th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Thessaloniki, Greece — Tribute to Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña; Greek premiere. Programme of the 1–11 November festival, with the Greek title Τελευταία νύχτα στη Χιλή. The festival catalogue identifies Niles Atallah as Co-Director and Diluvio as Production Company.
2024 Centro Arte Alameda, Santiago, Chile — León, Cociña and Atallah: Directors of the Month. Short-film screening on 16 December, followed by a discussion with Cristóbal León, Joaquín Cociña and Niles Atallah.
Nocturno de Chile brings together two videos, La cacería / The Hunt and La cena / The Dinner, adapted from Roberto Bolaño’s novel. Shown side by side, they evoke adjoining rooms: a dinner attended by writers and intellectuals in one, and a scene of torture in the other.
The work was exhibited at MAVI in Santiago in Máquina Blanda, December 2007–January 2008.
